Only Czarka appears to have continued with the Carpetbaggers, and he does not record a combat mission until April, flying with Lucey and Fish, perhaps as a filler or substitute crewmember. Their first mission as a crew was MR 48 on the night of 7/8 February to the JOHN 29 DZ. By the end of July Peavyhouse and crew had flown 36 missions and were on their way back to the ZI.
