Originally assigned to the 482nd BG at Alconbury, they were joined to the 406th BS shortly after inception in December of 1943. Toward the end of their tour Radtke was badly wounded on a mission over Belgium, substitute TGs flew with the crew for the rest of June 1944, their last month in action.  Munn flew a second tour during the last part of the war, he appears twenty times in the Late Period Log, though not all were combat missions.
