The crew arrived at Harrington in late April of 1944 as a replacement crew for the March losses of the squadron. They flew their missions during the heaviest period at Harrington and returned to the Zone of the Interior by September of 1944.

An ex-389th BG plane acquired by the 36th BS early in 1944. It was named "Pistol Packin' Mama" or "Shoot, Fritz, You're Faded" in that BG. Piloted by Kuntz later in the war, he flew it on return to the Zone of the Interior on 9 July 1945.
